DESCRIPTION
On a white wood pedestal 11.5” x 11.5” x 30” height, stands a 100% recycled clear plastic bottle filled with 75% volume capacity of dirt water. A stone found at the artist’s outdoor home surrounds covered with red acrylic industrial paint lays on the top of the bamboo lid.
The artist book H2O is placed in front of the bottle. It contains 8 pages of cotton canvas primed and painted in white with acrylic paint. The pages have the following text embroidered with a black cotton crochet thread: “Water pollution is responsible for over a million deaths annually. About 1 to 4 people globally lacks access to safe drinking water. Approximately 71% of the Earth surface is covered with water. Oceans, seas, lakes and rivers. Water is the blood of Earth. The human body can be up to 75% water. We are water.”
