"France-Brazil Artist's Book Exhibition: M.A.L.A. Morada Andarilha de Livros de Artista"
This event is part of the Brazil-France Season 2025 in the libraries of the City of Paris. As its title suggests, the M.A.L.A. collective (Moradia Andarilha de Livros de Artista / Nomadic Dwelling of Artist's Books) proposes an exhibition whose content travels in a suitcase from Brazil to France. This suitcase contains artist's books created during a Brazilian artistic residency of several months.
The theme chosen this year is "La Traversée" (The Crossing). It highlights the itinerant vocation of M.A.L.A. and one of its missions: to foster dialogue between artists and audiences from different countries, expanding the possibilities of experimentation and exchange in the field of artist's books.

The M.A.L.A. exhibition aims to encourage the creation of artist's books that express the singular poetic language of each artist, during a residency. Each year, it organizes international exhibitions to present the works created. In September and October 2025, as part of the France-Brazil Year, M.A.L.A. will be in Paris at the invitation of two venues: the Galerie Enseigne des Oudin, as part of the exhibition "Livres sur Tables" (Books on Tables), alongside French artists, and the Médiathèque Marguerite Duras.
In Brazil, M.A.L.A. will also be present with two exhibitions: at the Pacaembu Book Fair in June and at the Mário de Andrade Municipal Library in December, in São Paulo, with French artists.
33 artists will be featured: Rosa, Thomazella, Boyriven, Hoffrichter, Silva, Renaux, Lopes, Macedo, Vilela, Sampaio, Mattos, Cozeniosque, Providelo, Michel, Marangoni, Weiss, Salgot, Pardini, Parola, Adverse, Kunde, Martins, Cruz, Carvalho, Di Sessa, Colhado, Gonçalves, Martins, Allain, Paz, Dias, Lunardi, Marangoni.
